THE RUBY DARES ME
D is a poet from County Mayo.
He spent his late teens and early twenties working as a barback in Manhattan.
Now in his mid-30s, award-winning and well published, D teaches grad students at Arizona State University.
He loathes whiskey but likes tequila, loves his family with irrevocable certainty, and writes poems that strangers keep close, folded in their pockets.
He came to the world through the Amie Series — three novels marking their tenth anniversary this fall — but his poems belong to anyone with a voice willing to carry them.
You’re warmly invited to be that voice.
